Our story
Fido’s Favourites began its journey in 2007 as popular Buckinghamshire based pet store Fido & Felix Pet Care. It all started when our founder, Julie, was inspired by the love and care she gave to her own pets. Having worked with animals throughout her life, including as a veterinary nurse, dog trainer, and even a pet groomer, Julie saw a gap in the market for quality pet products. After looking through local pet shops and not finding the right options for her own dogs, she knew it was time to start something different.
From the beginning, Julie was joined by her husband, Roger, who played a pivotal role as both co-founder and business analyst. With his keen insight and dedication, Roger helped shape the business behind the scenes, guiding strategy and operations as a trusted consultant.
Incorporated in 2011, we set out with one simple goal: to provide the best possible treats, toys, and essentials for dogs, ones that we would be comfortable giving to our own pets. Our approach was clear – we wouldn’t sell anything we wouldn’t use ourselves, and we made sure that every product was tried and tested by our own pets before it made its way to our customers.

Senior Toy & Treat Tester
Powered by anything edible!
Despite her active mornings, Betty’s true passion lies in the art of relaxation. By noon, after a thorough round of testing new toys and treats, she transforms into the quintessential couch potato.
Her preferred spot is on anything that she finds comfortable and with a contented sigh, she will nestle into her spot surrounded by her favourite toys.
Betty’s afternoons are filled with leisurely naps and gentle snoring unless, of course, you are eating your lunch then she’s by your side as fast as lightening in the hope that you drop something on the floor!
In her spare time, she does enjoy the fast-paced pursuit of scent detection or a more leisurely stroll following a short track that has been laid. As long as she gets her favourite treats and is kept in the comfort that she expects between searches then she’s blissfully happy.
